Baby Games for Toddlers Ages 2 and 3

Parents often search for “baby games” when their little one is around two or three — and that is exactly the band this page covers. These are our simplest titles: one tap per action, no reading, short activities, and nothing that can go wrong. (Our games are designed from age two up; for children under two, health bodies advise keeping screens to video calls.)

What makes a game work at ages 2–3

At this age a game must reward every touch: a tap paints a whole area in Coloring Book, holds the screen to drive in Car Games, rings a friendly character in Baby Phone. The nine games on this page were picked because their core loop fits inside the gestures a two-year-old already has — single taps and simple holds.

Sessions stay naturally short: one finished picture, one served dish or one pretend call makes a complete little victory, which is the easiest moment to hand the device back.

What parents should know

Everything here is free to download, keeps purchases behind a parental gate and contains no chat. At this age we recommend playing together — naming what happens on screen is half the fun and most of the benefit.

Frequently asked questions

Are these games suitable for babies under two?+

No — our games are designed from age two up, and for children under two, guidance from bodies like the WHO and AAP recommends avoiding interactive screen play. “Baby games” here means the simplest games for two- and three-year-olds.

How is this page different from the toddler games page?+

The toddler page covers ages 2–4 broadly; this one filters harder — only the games a just-turned-two-year-old can genuinely play alone.

Do these games need an internet connection?+

Only for the download itself. Like every JMH game, they run fully offline after install — see our offline games page for travel tips.

What should a first session look like?+

Five to ten minutes, together: you name and cheer what happens, the child taps. A finished picture or dish is the natural end point.

Exact ages: games for 2-year-olds and games for 3-year-olds. The wider band: toddler games ages 2–4.
